UseMindful Privacy Policy

This policy describes the UseMindful Chrome extension.

Information used by the extension

UseMindful processes website URLs and domains on your device to identify the current website, match navigation requests against your blocklist, and reload matching tabs when blocking resumes. The original blocked URL is included in the address of the extension’s local Site Blocked page so you can return to the website. That address may remain in Chrome’s browsing history according to your browser settings. Local developer-console diagnostics may also include tab URLs and domains.

UseMindful stores your blocklist, always-block preference, blocking status, and focus-session and temporary-break timing information in Chrome’s local extension storage. These settings are used to provide focus sessions and temporary breaks.

The extension does not read website page contents, require an account, or include advertising or analytics services.

Sharing and use

The extension does not transmit the information described above to the developer or external data-collection services. It does not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

UseMindful uses browsing information only to provide its website-blocking features. UseMindful’s use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

When you navigate back to a website, that website receives the normal browser request and handles information under its own policies.

Storage and deletion

You can edit or remove blocked sites through the extension. Preferences and blocklist entries remain in local extension storage until changed or the extension is uninstalled. Session and break state is updated as timers run and blocking modes change. Uninstalling UseMindful removes its local extension storage. Browser history is managed separately through Chrome’s history controls.
